Why it matters

Dental patients call when something hurts.

Most dental calls are either routine (booking the next cleaning) or urgent (toothache, broken filling, knocked-out tooth). Voicemail loses both. The routine caller picks the next dentist who answers. The urgent caller goes to the ER and ends up costing themselves $1,500+ for a problem that was a $300 chair visit.

Your hygienist is in someone's mouth. Della picks up, asks the right routing question, and books or escalates. Knocked-out tooth? She tells the caller to put it back in the socket or in milk and head straight in.

FAQ

Common questions

Will Della diagnose a toothache over the phone?
Never. She'll book the chair and offer general comfort guidance ('chew on the other side, avoid hot/cold'), but diagnosis is the dentist's job.
What does she do for a knocked-out tooth?
Verbatim: 'Put the tooth back in the socket if you can, or in milk. Come straight in or go to the ER within the hour.' Then dispatches a same-day slot.
Can she handle pediatric intake?
Yes — she asks parent name, kid's age, whether they've been to a dentist before, and walks the parent through what to expect.
What about prescription refills?
Takes the request, gets the medication name + pharmacy, routes to the dentist for approval. Never approves herself.
Does she charge per booking?
Never. Flat monthly. Every booking is yours.
